The line graph provides information to the ratio of male and female students graduating from universities in Canada throughout a 15-years time period.
Overall, as it becomes evident from the chart the number of both men and women graduates has experienced a significant increase from 1992 to 2007. However, women remained much more interested in higher education, since their percentages have been much higher than the corresponding figures of men during the entire period given.
Looking at the graph in more detail, the percentage of men started at 70,000 in 1992, where it plateaued until 2001. From that point in time and by the end of 2007 male graduates in Canada have been on a constant and gradual rise each year and have peaked at almost 95,000.
With regard to women, although the respective curve followed a similar development, the figures of female Canadians were significantly higher than the ones of men. In particular, the graph started at around 100,000 in 1992 and fluctuated a bit until 2000. Soon after 2000, the ratio of women graduating from universities in Canada has witnessed a dramatic increase and in 2007 has rocketed to nearly 150,000.
