The percentage of Australian exports to Japan peaked at 26% in 1990, the highest in that period. Following that, at 10 years after, the percentage declined swiftly by 10 %. Additionally, in 2012, the figure decreased gradually by 18%. Likewise, exports in the US started at 11% before dropping marginally to 9% in 5 years. The figure grew moderately to 11% in 2000. Between 2000 and 2010, it showed a downward trend. Furthermore, it increased by 1% in 2012.

Contrastingly, the percentage of exports to China began at 2% and reached 6% by 2000. The figure experienced a rapid boom over 10 years before marked progress with a dramatic increase of 22% in 2012. The percentage in India begins at 1%, which is the lowest point. From 1990 onwards, it remained stable until an upward trend of 8% from 2000 to 2010. Furthermore, it has had a slight drop of 1% in 2012.
