The line graph illustrates the proportion of concert attendees in terms of five different age groups in a particular city from 2010 to 2015.
Overall, it can be seen that all six age brackets experienced an upward trend in the number of concert attendees, except for those aged 25-44 and 55-64. In addition, the elderly were least interested in attending live concerts, whereas the youngest group participated most.
Looking at the chart in greater detail, in 2010, the 16-24 and 45-54 age groups accounted for about 40% of its total number of attendees. In a 5 year period, the percentage of 16-24-year-olds peaked at roughly 70%, while the proportion of 45-54-year-olds rose slightly to just under 50%, despite dipping to 40% in 2012. Similarly, the proportion of the elderly experienced a significant fluctuation, rising from only 10% in 2010 to 20% in 2015.
In terms of the remaining age brackets, there were about 52% of concert viewers aged 25-44%, which was double those aged 55-64 (26%) in 2010. One year later, the 25-44 age group dropped suddenly to 40% before experiencing a steady recovery to 52% in 2015. After increasing slightly one year later, the percentage of 55-to-64-year-olds decreased slightly, hitting 22%.
