The graph shows the percentages of changing access to modern technology in domestic areas in the UK from 1996 to 2003.
There is definitely upward trend by varying degrees through these seven years.
Domestic access of home computer and CD player increased gradually through seven years. The former started at thirty percent and ends at about fifty in 2002/3. Likewise, the access of CD player decreased slightly from the percentage of sixty in 1996/7 to approximately eighty percent in 2002/3.
By contrast, two other modern technology devices, mobile phone and internet access, rose dramatically. As regards the first, it started at about twenty percent and went up noticeably. Also the access of internet had a significant rise from ten percent to over forty percent.
Generally the remarkable access of internet is noticeable which was started at 1998/9 and was over forty percent after just four years.
