The lines graph illustrates the percentage of the civilian which are over 65 years old from 1940 to 2040.
Overall, the number of the citizens shows an upward trend over the period shown. It is clear that the proportion of the population in Japan increases significantly while this percent in USA and Sweden rise slightly.
In 1940, the figure of people who live in the United State is the highest to 10% whereas in Japanese and Swedish just 5% and around 7% respectively. From 1960 to 1980, the number of inhabitants in Japan was slowly decrease and reached the bottom of about 3% compare with the percentage of Americans and Swede growth gradually to approximately 15%.
Between 2000 and 2020, the number of public in Sweden is predicted go up and down and will peak of 20% in nearly 2020 as this percent of two others countries is unchanged too much. In 2040 the proportion of community in Japan, America and Sweden will reach to about 27%, 25% and around 23% respectively.
