Overall, the highest position was taken by road transport throughout the period, while the pipeline stayed the least. Three means of transport increased with the year, while the rail followed the opposite trend.
To begin with, the preferred method of transporting product is road and it started its journey from 70 million tonnes and increased moderately from 1974 to 1996. However, it experienced a surge at the beginning of 1997 to reach the highest position of the whole graph, which is just under hundred. Next, the means of water and rail started from approximately same place at 40 million tonnes. Though they are maintaining a stable trend since their beginning, it finished with an opposite trend. Transportation through water was faced increase where it's counterparts showed a decline until reaching at the end year. The difference between them is about 20 million in the last year 2002.
On the other hand, goods transported pipeline is remained the last position, though it was rising with year. In 1974, it was carrying just a tiny person about 3 million tonnes and after climbing every year it reached at just over 20 million tonnes. Moreover, it was just quite similar proportion with rail transport in 1995 only for 3 million tonnes.
