Given are the two layouts constructing a typical American and Japanese office.
It is perceptible that in Japanese office rooms, all spaces are shared, while in the USA’s office, individuality is emphasized, so each staff has their own space.
For typical Japanese agencies, everyone sat together in a large space. The window is placed in the north, behind the seats of the Department Manager, the remaining space is occupied by 2 sets of rectangular tables with 6 chairs each.
On the contrary, in American offices, they promote individualism, so each employee owns a personal desk seated in the middle of the room with two columns. Up to two windows are attached to the two sides of the room: the west and the east. Moreover, the east side has a private room for a section managers and department manager, the west side accommodates office equipment such as printer, copier, storage and two conference rooms used to discuss or solve problems, it is important to avoid disturbing unrelated people who are working.
