The line graph provides the amount of investment in studying renewable energies in Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and UK during the period from 1975 to 2000. It’s clear that the Switzerland and Denmark raised investment in studying renewable resources continuously, while Spain and UK fluctuated at a lower level in the research funds.

In the beginning, all nations didn’t invest any money in the filed of renewable resources. Starting at 1075, renewable resources attracted worldwide attention, every nations began devoting money into the renewable resources. In Switzerland, it put the most of money into the research and increased rapidly. In 2000, each person spent 5 dollars in studying renewable resources per year. Denmark was ranked the second of the four nations. Generally speaking, the trends of investment were going up in Denmark, the spending of each person was coming up to 3.5 dollars in 2000, although there was a stopping between 1980 and 1990. The situations in the other two nations were nearly the same. The spending in Spain and UK moved up and down, but both of them never spent over 1 dollar in renewable resources during the 25 years.

Renewable resources is one of the main topic in energy reduction, even though UK and Spain didn’t invest much money into renewable resources at the present time, it’s possible to follow the growing trends as Switzerland and Denmark did one day.
