The bar chart illustrates how many boys and girls participated in different sports activities in English town in one year (2012).
Overall, it is clearly seen that boys participated in such sports activities more than girls. While the vast amount of boys preferred football, girls, chose swimming. Clearly, Hockey was the least popular sports activity among both sexes.
The most popular sports activity within boys was Football (60 participants), while three times less (20) girls participated in football. However, both sexes showed almost the same numbers in swimming and tennis. As for swimming, more girls (50) than boys (40) swam, while this pattern more or less reversed in tennis, boys (50) and girls (just under 40).
As for other sports activities, ten girls more played Badminton than boys (40 as opposed to 30), while boys again more cycled than girls (about 38 and 20 accordingly). Surprisingly, hockey, was the least popular sport among both genders, while about 15 boys and 10 girls participated in.
