As is presented in the chart, in 2011 the Louvre had the largest amount of visitors, that made it the most popular gallery, while Hermitage was the least visited.
The Metropolitan Museum and the British Museum were approximately the same at this rate - roughly 6 million, while the National Museum of Korea, the Museo del Prado and the State Hermitage had twice fewer visitors - about 3 million less each. The difference between the number of people visited the State Hermitage and the Louvre was significant. The Louvre was visited 3 times more, than the Russian gallery.
Overall, the distinction between art galleries was different.
