The graph shows the population of turtles in India from 1980 to 2012

The graph gives information about the number of three different species of turtles and the total number of all the species present in India from 1980 to 2012.

Overall, the total number of all the types of species did not increase by a large number, whereas the number of Olive turtles increased dramatically as opposed to leatherback turtles whose number decreased significantly over the given time period.

The number of Oliver turtles showed the highest increase from just 100 in 1980 to around 120 in 2012 with a peak of around 130 in 1995. On the other hand, the population of leatherback turtles declined from 100 at the beginning of the period(in 1980) to a number above 50 at the end of the period( in 2012) with hitting a high of 110 in 1987.

In terms of green turtles, their number underwent a fluctuation throughout the period from 100 in 1980 to around 90 in 2012 with its highest population being 110 in 1982 and the lowest being around 80 in 2006. However, the population of all the species showed a slight increase over the given period of time from being 100 in 1980 to be slightly above 100 in 2012.
