The line graph illustrates the change in price of three types of food product in USA from 1979 to 2009 and the overal trend of Consumer-price index dring over 30-year period.
Overall, it is clear that the price increased fo three food product groups, despite various slightly fluctuations. Besider, only the price of fresh fruits and vegetables increased higher than the consumer-price index.
All the lines of graph have similar strating piont in 1979 at aproximate 65. The avarage customer price rose steadily from aroud 65 in 1979 to over 200 in 2009. The figure of two food products: sugar and sweets and carbonated drinks show similar trends. Although their prices also rose, they were consistently below the consumer-price index after 1985. During 30-reserch year, the price of suger and sweets reach a peak at 200 in 2009, compare with just over 150 of carbonated dricks figure.
The price of fresh fuirts and vegetables fluctuanted and increased slighly at about 90 in the first four years. After that this figure increased dramaticaly and finished at 340 on the index in 2009
