The three pie charts provides data regarding the classification of employees and owner/manager depending on working hours, such as full-time (works 35-40 hours per week), part-time (works 35 hours weekly) and, long hours (over 41 hours in a week) and the total workforce in Austalia in 2001.
In general, there are a lot of workers in Australia who works long hours and a huge number of owner/manager contributes to this while the figure for regular employee accounts more to the total number of part-timers.
To start with, it can be noted that there are 6.9 million employees in Australia. Most of these workers are part-timers, followed by long hours and lastly, by full-timers (38%, 33% and, 29% respectively). Meanwhile, the figure of owner/manager in Australia was outnumbered by the employees which is at 1.9 million only. When it comes to its categories, a considerable number of owner/manager are working long hours at 67%, next to that are full-times at 19% and finally, part-times at 14%.
Combining the data of the employees and owners/managers, there are a total of 8.8 million workforce. A significant number of its total are mostly long hours (40%), then part-timers (33%) and lastly, full-timers(27%).
