The graphs compared Japan and Malaysia in terms of five categories of average family expenses in 2010
The given pie chart illustrates spendings of average household in Japan and Malaysa in 2010 divided into five categories: housing, transport, food, health care and other goods and services.
The smallest portion of expences in Japan were health care bills in 2010 making up only six per cent. Then, bigger fraction were spent on transportation and accomodation with one fifth and twenty one per cent respectively. The two major sources of spendings were food comprising approximaly one quarter of all incomes and other goods and services with twenty nine per cent of total family budgets.
As well as in Japan, the malaysian minor group of expences was health care with only three per cent, which is twice less than in previously discussed country, followed by transportation expences with one tenth in 2010. However, unlike Japan, other goods and services accounted for about one quarter of entire household budget being the third biggest presented group. Food constituded twenty seven per cent, whereas housing was the major category of spendings providing more than a third.
