The three pie charts given compare the medium proportions of sodium, saturated fats and added sugars, all of which can pose a detrimental risk to health if consumed too much.
Overall, it is clearly seen from the charts that USA residents consume more sodium and added sugars than saturated fats in all meals, except breakfast.
To begin with, it is clear that at snack meal, added sugars has the highest consumption (42%), conversely, the lowest one is sodium, at 14%. Moreover, the rate of sodium eaten at lunch made up nearly a third, which is 10% higher than that of added sugars. Besides, by eating dinner, USA citizens consume the highest proportion of sodium (43%) while added sugars is eaten just at a rate of 23%.
Furthermore, the percentage at breakfast of saturated fats (16%) is as much as that of added sugars, which is 2% higher than that amount of sodium. In all four meals, saturated fats is consumed under 40% and the highest percentage is 37% which is consumed at dinner.
