The line graph compares the number of hours taken to produce a car by three companies throughout the period from 2000 to 2012.
Overall, the amount of time spent on the production of a car increased slightly between 2000 to 2012. There was a wide fluctuation in the time to make a car from Ford over the period.
In 2000, Toyota took almost 17 hours to produce a vehicle, compared with 28 hours spent by Ford. Honda was able to manufacture a car in about 32 hours. While the production time generally rose in the following years, the figures fluctuated. For example, in 2004, Ford spent nearly 11 hours on the production of a vehicle.
There was a slightly increased in the manufacturing time per car for Honda and Toyota in 2012. The figure for the production time of Toyota was about 18 hours. The number of hours taken to manufacture a vehicle by Honda was about 33 hours. However, in the case of Ford, the year 2012 saw a significant rose in the production time, at about 40 hours.
