The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who visited four different attractions in Brighton.
The chart compares the proportion of tourists to England who visited Brighton attractions including the art gallery, pavilion, pier, and festival between 1980 and 2010. From a general perspective, different trends in the percentage of travelers could be observed, consist of a grown of pavilion and pier, a reduction of art gallery and festival.
In 1980, the festival had the highest percentage of tourists at 30%, followed by the pavilion, art gallery, and pier. From 1980 to 1995, people preferred to visit the pavilion, which witnessed a huge rise to nearly a half in the proportion of tourists, significantly surpassing the other places' percentage of travelers. On the other hand, the festival's percentage of tourists experienced a considerable fall from 30% to 25%. At the end of this period, the art gallery's percentage of tourists stayed at 21%; meanwhile, the pier saw a slight increase to 12% in the proportion of tourists.
In the next fifteen years, despite a substantial decline, the pavilion was still at the top of the percentage of tourists. Similarly, the art gallery plummeted to under 10%, making this attraction fall behind the pier, which considerably grew about 10% in the percentage of tourists. Meanwhile, the festival's proportion of tourists had no significant changes over the period.
