A line graph shows the amount of time to produce a vehicle by four US car manufactories between 1998 to 2002

The chart gives information about how much time is required to produce a car by 4 companies in the USA from 1998 to 2000. It is clear that General Motor reduced the hours needed for cars’ production over the years while lines for other manufactories showed marked fluctuations.
In 1998, General Motor took 32 hours to produce one car, which is the highest figure on the graph. Numbers decreased considerably for the next 17 years and reached 22 hours in 2005. Ford time rates started at 28 hours per car and rose slowly until hitting 31 hours in 2001, which was followed by a significant drop of 5 hours in 3 years and a dramatic decline from 26 hours in 2004 to just 22 in 2005.
Both Honda and Toyota’s average car production’s time were 22 hours in 1998. While the line for Honda went down until 1999, the opposite was true for Toyota’s. Patterns reversed for the two companies over the next 2 years. From 2001 to 2002, figures for Toyota and Honda moved upward to 24 hours before dipping again and achieving a low of 20 hours per car in 2005.
