The line graph shows visits to and from the UK from 1979 to 1999, and the bar graph shows the most popular countries visited by UK residents in 1999.

The graph depicts the number of visitors(in million) in the UK and the people traveling abroad from the UK between 1979 and 1999. Meanwhile, the charts give information about five most famous tourist destination(Turkey, Greece, USA, France and Spain) and the number of tourists(in million) visiting those countries in 1999.

Overall, the number of UK residents traveling abroad has always surpassed the count of visitors traveling to the UK throughout the time period. While British tourists were seen to be most inclined towards selecting France as their travel destination in 1999.

The number of people visiting Britain has increased from 10 million in 1979 to slightly lower than 30 million in 1999, which is very subtle when compared to drastic increase in the number of British inhabitants traveling abroad (from almost 12 to just over 50 million) during the same time period.

The major attractions for Britishers have been France and Spain as they have attracted more than 20 million visitors in 1999. Turkey, Greece and USA have also been in the list of popular choices among British tourists, which is evident as they attracted two to four million visitors in the same year.
