The line graph illustrates the proportion of visitors to England who went to four different tourist attractions in Brighton from 1980 to 2010

Overall, it is clear that there was a upward trend in the number of tourist who visited Pavilion and Pier, while this figure for Art Gallery and Festival decreased in the period from 1980 to 2010

It can be seen from the graph, in 1980, the percentage of tourists who visited Pier was lowest, at only exactly 10%. Despite of fluctuations, this figure increase significantly to a peak of over 20% in 2010. While, the amount of Pavilion’s tourists varied more dramatically with the starting point in 1980 was about 25%. However, this figure finished at just over 30% although it reached a peak of roughly 50% in 1995

The most popular tourist attraction in England in 1980 was Festival with precisely 30% of total Brighton visitors, after decreasing steadily to about 28% in 2010 . There was also downward trend in the amount of tourists who went to Art Gallery. However, this figure plunged to only under 10% in 2010 even though it soared to the highest point at nearly 40% in 1985
