The given maps illustrate developments that have occurred to the art gallery in an Australian art gallery since 1950.
Overall, it can be seen that the art gallery has become significantly enlarged with the courtyard being demolished to make way for new facilities involving a new children art school, Australia Aboriginal Art and Australian Art. However, several rooms in the right and the center of the original building have remained unchanged.
Looking at the maps for more detail, to the West of the art gallery, the toilet has been destroyed to give way to a new construction of toilet. The temporarily exhibition and bookshop located to the south of the original temporarily have still stayed the same. Moving to the East, there has been no change in the early European art, middle European art and Asian art.
To the north of the art gallery, there have been a new construction of a new children art school, Australia Aboriginal Art and Australian Art, replacing the courtyard. Visitors have still entered into the main entrance in the center of the south side of the building, leading to the large room. This room displaying sculpture has been the same.
