The maps below show the centre of a small town called islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Given is the map illustrating the transformation plan of the center of Islip town as a result of development. It's clear that more facilities and infrastructures are planned to built during construction.

The map shows that, the main road that passes through the city enter is planned to be extended as a dual carriageway passing around the center. Meanwhile, the main road in the center will be closed to the pedestrians only. Moreover, the shops that previously were on the north of the main road will be demolished completely. Instead, new shopping center is planned to be built to the eastern side of the bus station which also be constructed by the end of the development.

As the shopping center needs parking places for visitors, new car park is also planned to be constructed next to shopping mall on the east. Moreover, new residentials are planned to be setted on the both sides of previous main road. The first housing will be situated on the North-east of the city center having direct access from the carriageway. The next one will be built to the south-east of the shops line that will stay on the south of pedestrian way.

Overall, the development will allow residents of Islip town to freely travel from east to west without stucking in traffic jams in the city center.
