The maps demonstrate how Stokeford village changed over the years from 1930 to 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that a lot of housing complexes were built to accommodate people, while the farmland disappeared completely.
In 1930, the village mostly contained farmland with some houses, shops, Post office and Primary school. In the right side, there was a Large house inside the gardens.
By 2010, the village witnessed considerable change. The chain of houses were added along the central road in the place of former shops and replaced farmland which had been situated beside the River Stroke causing it to vanish totally. The Primary school was extended with two blocks and the Large house was made into Retirement home. However, the Post office, the central road and the bridge remained unchanged over the eight decades.
