The maps illustrate the transformation of an art gallery in Australia between 1950 and now.
According to the diagram, there was a sculpture in the centre of this art gallery which still exists without any change in size or location between 1950 and now. Similar to that, to the east, the Early European Art room and the Middle European Art room remain the same after this period. Furthermore, in the right-hand corner, the Temporary Exhibition and the Bookshop remain unchanged through this period. Another thing to add is that the Entrance still stands at the bottom of this map.
As can be seen from the diagram, in the top of this map, the Courtyard has disappeared. Moreover, to the northwest of this building, the art school for children has been built up. Besides, the cafe nearby has been reduced in size in order to construct the toilet next to it. In addition, to the north of this app, the Australian Aboriginal Art room has been erected. Also, in the right-hand corner, there was the Australia Art room in 1950. This room has been moved to the northeast of this gallery. Simultaneously, Asian Art has been constructed on the original site of Australia Art room.
Overall, this art gallery witnessed a dramatic change throughout the period shown.
