The given maps demonstrate some major changes to a small town called Islip. Overall, the town center will develop into a more modernized and residential location as the countryside size will be reduced dramatically.
According to the map, the town center now is really simple as there is only a straight main road running in between 2 rows of shops, with a branch on the left which leads to the school. In the southeast of the town center, there is a large park with a branch leading back to the main road, as well as 2 housing areas lying between the school and the park.
However, the newly developed town center would look completely different. Starting with a new dual carriageway circling around all the major features of the town center, which will take up the space of the countryside in the north. Inside the circle, the southern row of shops will be kept facing a new passageway for pedestrians. Beyond the passageway to the north, a new bus station, a shopping center, as well as a car park would be built in the given order, beside a new housing area. Across the shops to the south, the park will still be kept but cut in size, standing next to 2 housing areas, one of which is newly constructed. Outside of the town center, the school, and the housing area will remain the same in their places.
