Percentage of people rating certain factors as important when buying a new house

The line graph shows the proportion of people rating certain factors as importance when buying a new house.

First of all, crime rate, about 85% of the oldest group, was the highest among five factors while only about 6% of the youngest group rated public transport which was the lowest. Moreover, both four groups of the people rated crime rate and public transport as the most important one and the least important one respectively.

Apart from that, the percentage of crime rate increased from about 80% rated by the youngest group to about 85% rated by the oldest group. Likewise, shopping facilities, parks and public transport respectively rose from about 13%, 6%, 5% rated by the youngest group to about 30%, 23%, 22% rated by the oldest group. On the other hand, the proportion of schools declined from 55% rated by the youngest group to 24% rated by the oldest group.

To sum up, the factors of crime rate and public transport were respectively treated as the most important one and the least important one when buying a new house. Also, the graph shows a trend that the younger group prefers the factor of schools than the elder group but the elder group prefers the factors of crime rate, shopping facilities, parks and public transport than the younger group.
