The picture illustrates the working pattern of a heat-based balloon.
It can be seen that this kind of balloon has 3 parts which one is the envelope, one is the burner and one is the basket. It uses air mixed with a particular substance to make the power and fly the balloon.
From the bottom, there is a basket which consists of 2 propane cylinders where propane is mixed with cool air to produce flame to make hot air. The burner above the will heat up the mixture prepared in the 2 cylinders.
Moving up, there are ropes knotted with a big skirt which are responsible for connecting the basket, the burner and the envelope. On the envelope, there are panels, gores, and a parachute valve allowing hot air to escape at a controlled level. Inside this envelope, cool air is heavier which stays at the bottom, and the hotter the air, the lighter and higher it becomes.
