The mentioned pie chart demonstrates the significant basis of farming land being unfertile. Likewise, table illustrates the major three regions namely North America, Europe and Oceania of the world in 1990s.
Overall, it is clear that land was degraded globally due to overgrazing as well as over- cultivation. Similarly, Europe was the most affected region whereas the North America had the lowest proportion of unfertile land.
It is evident that over- grazing was the significant reason behind the distortion worldwide and Oceania with figure of 35% and 11.3% respectively. In contrast, other intention accounted the ratio of 7% around the globe while in North America overgrazing had sharply low rate of only 5%.
However, deforestation and over-cultivation had considerably higher percentage in the world 28% and 30 % respectively but the former accounted only 0.2% in North America and latter contributed 0% in Oceania. Moreover, land was destroyed considerably because of tree clearance 9.8% followed by over-cultivation 7.7% and overgrazing 11.3% in Europe. In addition, cultivable land had reduces production due to deforestation (1.7%) in Oceania whereas in North America over-cultivation degraded the agricultural land by 3.3%.
