The provided pie chart demonstrates the information on why agricultural land becomes less productive whereas the table illustrates three different continents around the globe (North America, Europe, and Oceania) that how the land causes affected during 1990s.
According to the chart, it is clear that overgrazing was the main issue of the land degradation. It was almost third (35%) that cause farmland. While, other two, over-cultivation and deforestation was remained stable at 28% and 30% respectively which was lower cause than previous one. Other causes of globe farmland was at minority (7%).
The table beholds the three different areas. It is clear evident that, North America caused lowest proportion of land degradation where Europe had caused the highest proportion. The Europe had caused 9.8% due to the deforestation, while North America and Oceania had minimal degradation at 0.2% and 1.7% respectively. Europe also suffered from over-cultivation at 7.7%, again here, North America had 3.3%, while Oceania had no proportion. After that, in over-grazing, Oceania suffered at 11.3% which was highest in this field, where Europe had 5.5% degradation and North America had 1.5%.
Overall, both in pie chart and in table, over-grazing had suffered around the globe and by region.
