The pie charts below show the impact of COVID-19 on existing and new businesses in the United States in 2020 .
The given pie charts illustrate the covid-19 pandemic's influence on two types of businesses: those already-existing and those newly-emergeing in the US in the year of 2020.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that while a large number of new businesses were reported to have positively impact, that of existing companies faced negative influence. However, it is also apparent that none of these two types suffered too much severe impact.
First, nearly half of the new businesses were recorded to experience good impact at 49%. This figure for those existing shops and companies was significantly lower at 26%. However, it seems that the proportion of new and old businesses that have extremely good impact was roughly similar at 8% and 7% respectively.
In addition, 17% of new businesses was categorized as neutral, while this percentage for existing ones was higher at 25%. Those existing one that suffered badly was 36%, higher than only 22% of new businesses. Lastly, the roughly same pattern was once again seen in both these two types of businesses that beared the adverse impact : 5% of the old one and 6% of new one.
