Overall, after a decade online sales experienced a considerable rise in terms of film and music and books. While the trend for travel and clothes proved to be in reverse.
Looking at the graphs, it is clear that travel and film and music had the highest proportion in 2003 constituting 36% and 21% respectively. By 2013, travel sales had encountered a moderate decrease reaching 29%, while film and music sales had jumped to 33% achieving the highest sale in 2013.
Books and clothes online sales ranked fourth and second with 19% and 24% in 2003 respectively. In 2013, the former accounted for 22% and experienced a 3% increase in terms of its online sales. However, the latter was not successful regarding online sales and encountered approximately 10% losses compared with 2003.
