The pie charts illustrate the causes for which the people migrated themselves from or to the UK in 2007.

Overall, what stands out from the graph is that most people immigrate and emigrate for the reason of definite jobs, while fewer people chose to go to other countries for no reason stated. On the other hand, less emigration has taken place due to formal studies.

To begin with immigration, firstly, for having a definite job 30% among total migration people came to the UK and during this period 6% people migrated to the same place for no reason stated. Secondly, over one-fourth, arrived here for doing the study and half of that percentage came over from other places for searching jobs. Moreover, 15% and 6% came from other nations for accompanying and other reasons respectively.

Turning to emigration, it was similar to the first section when 26% of people which was the highest percentage in terms of emigration. Then comes the looking for jobs which were 10% higher than immigration. In the case of, no reason stated, the percentage of emigrated people was three times bigger than immigrated. In terms of accompanying and others the difference, not more than 2-3%. But a significant difference was in the formal study, only 4% went to other countries for studying.
