The rendered line graph compares the types of law breaking offence ( car theft ,house burglary and street robberies) in England and Wales between 1970 and 2005.

In the overview, it can be analysed that car theft was the most common crime in the given time period. Also, all the three types of crime followed an upward trend.
In the beginning, the number of car theft cases stood at .4 million which was twice the number of house burglary incidents. Infact, the number of car robbery cases a moderate rise in the next two decades reaching at 1 million cases by 1990. There was a dramatic increase in car theft of funds from 1990 to 1995 and it peaked at 1.6 million cases in 1995 . After that it's so a rapid decrease and by 2005 the car theft incident fell 1 million.
The house burglary incident showed a similar trend for first decade after which number fluctuated and reached point 5 million cases by the end .Street robbery cases were few from 1970 to 1990 then there was a moderate growth in street theft incident and it true 2.2 million cases by 2002 which there was a stability in street robbery incidents.
