Some people regard video games as harmless fun or even as a useful education tool Others however believe that videos games are having an adverse effect on the people who play them In your opinion do the drawbacks of video games outweigh the benefits

The fact that playing video games is becoming a widespread concern in society these days. From my personal perspective, this matter has both favorable and unfavorable effects, but the negative sides outweigh the positive ones.

On the other hand, it is evident that playing video games will bring some advantageous results. Firstly, playing video games is an efficient recreational form that helps players release stress and pressure in life. These gamers are transferred into a virtual world that is more eye-catching and intriguing than real-world activities. Secondly, this type of entertainment can help to improve soft skills and expand our knowledge. For example, simulation games can be used to train potential pilots who are going to fly real planes in the future.

On the other hand, I am convinced that this issue actually has more prominent drawbacks. To begin with, sitting in front of the screen too long can lead to a lack of physical activity. This sedentary lifestyle can slow down metabolism, and regular players may suffer from obesity, diabetes, and gout. Furthermore, these games are addictive, and this can have negative impacts on academic performance. Addicted students tend to ignore homework or skip classes so that they can have more time for this temptation.

To summarize, considering the beneficial and adverse outcomes of this trend, I strongly believe that the demerits are more distinctive than the merits.
