Regarding gender distribution, in 2001, the proportion of local male students was equal to that of females, at 43% for each, while there was a disparity in gender among students from other countries, with the figure for females (9%) being more than twice as high as that for males (4%). Over the following ten years, female local students outnumbered their male counterparts, with the percentage of the former being 4% higher. However, in the international group, the figure for females was slightly lower than that for males.
