The table below shows the figures for imprisonment in five countries between 1930 and 1980

The provided bar chart illustrates information about the statistics of people brought into custody in the Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, US, and Canada from 1930 to 1980. The units are measured in thousands.
Overall, it is clearly apparent that over the five decades, the counts of confinement in the US had always stood over hundred thousands except in 1970, when compared to other four countries. Meanwhile, Britain who had the lowest imprisonment number while Canada had the maximum count in 1930 were replaced by Australia to the least, and the outperformer was the US in 1980.
In 1930, the Great Britain had documented approximately 24,000 imprisonment from where it started to rise gradually, and reached just over 80,000 in 1980. Next, Australia and New Zealand who showed around 70,000 and 100,000 in beginning had small volatility (downside) in the middle, then ended with numbers of about 50,000 and 90,000, respectively.
The most eye catching data was noticed in the US and Canada. Both the countries custody count in region of 100,000 (US) and 120,000 (Canada) in 1930. Followed by a persistent rise the United States surged to around 130,000 and with the slightest fall Canada showed about 110,000 in 1940. This rivalry continued in between, but later in 1980, the US outperformed and reached to the peak of approximately 140,000 whereas Canada ended up at more or less to 90,000.
