It is of note that the number of people who visited the museum dramatically rose from 74,000 to 92,000 people after the refurbishment. This significant change was 18,000 people, equivalent to the increase of more than 24%.
Obviously, visitors’ satisfaction increases vastly in both degrees of very satisfied and satisfied. The numbers show that the proportion of extremely satisfied visitors from 15% to 35%. The same trend can be seen from people who responded they were satisfied with the museum, from 30% to 40%. In contrast, the numbers of respondents who were not satisfied with the museum substantially fell from 40% to 15% and from 10% to 5% for dissatisfied and very dissatisfied visitors respectively.
Overall, the number of visitors to the Ashdown Museum and the proportion of people who satisfied with the museum were both sharply increased one year after the refurbishment.
