The given table provides a comparison of the ten most populated countries in 2019 as well as a forecast for the 2100 year. Units are measured in millions.
Overall, it is clearly seen that seven out of five states will remain on the list in 2100, In addition, three African countries are predicted to appear in top 10 in the beginning of the 22nd century.
Two countries with the largest population in 2019 were China and India with 1439 and 1380 million of citizens, respectively. According to projection, they will be in the top 2 in 2100, where India will reach over 1500 million habitats, while the population of China will diminish to about two thirds of its 2019's value.
Next five countries with the highest number of citizens, which are USA, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil and Nigeria, had from 206 to 331 million in 2019. It is predicted that the overall number of people in all of these countries, except Brazil, will increase, reaching between 292 in Indonesia 730 in Nigeria. In contrast, the population of Brazil will drop to 36 million, allowing this country to become 10th in terms of number of individuals in 2100.
Bangladesh, Russia and Mexico are the three least populated states in this list with 165, 146 and 129 million, respectively. Based on given projection, none of them will appear among top 10 countries in 2100, compared to D.R.Congo (with 296 million in 2100), Ethiopia (212 in 2100) and Tanzania (178 in 2100), that will take 6th, 8th and 9th place, respectively.
