The table below shows the worldwide market share of mobile phone market for manufacturers in the years 2005 and 2006

The table compares the mobile phone producers regarding their international sales in 2005 and 2006.
In general, Nokia was the leader of the global market share in both years. While the sales of Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson experienced a growth between 2005 and 2006, the sales figures of the rest of the manufacturers decreased.
Nokia dominated the market share by a rise from 32,5% in 2005 to 35% in 2006. The second largest sales belonged to Motorola which went up from 17,7% to 21,1%. Sony Ericsson also increased its sales by over 1% to 7,4% in 2006, taking up the third place of the global market share.
On the contrary, the sales of Samsung decreased from 12,7% in 2005 from 11,8% in 2006. Similarly, L.G saw a slight decline in its sales of 0,4% from 2005. It was worth mentioning that the market share of BenQ fell significantly from 4,9% to 2,4%. In conclusion, there was a downtrend in the sales of other producers by 3% to 16,2% in 2006.
