The table illustrates changes in registation of five different kinds of vehicles in Australia in three years, including 2010, 2012 and 2014.

Overall, it can be seen that all categories experienced a growth over the whole period. While the number of passenger vehicles registered was the highest among the five, that of motorcycles underwent the most dramatic increase.

At the beginning of the period, the registration of passenger vehicles was 11,8 million, whereas, that of commercial ones was considerably lower, with 2,3 million. 4 years later, the number of passenger transportation experienced a rise of 10,2% to peak at 13 million in 2014. There were 2,7 million commercial vehicles that were registered in 2014, undergoing a climb of 17,4%.

Beginning at 540 thousand, the number of motorcycles surged by 30,8% to end at 709 thousand between 2010 and 2014. While the figure for heavy trucks experienced the least significant change, data on light trucks remained the lowest categories during the whole timeframe despite a considerable rise, equivalent to 8,3% for the former and 23,5% for the latter.
