The table shows the average length of video advertisements on the Internet and the average length of time viewers spend watching them.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The table compares the avarage length of online video adverts and the avarage viewing time for these videos.
Generally, it can be seen that most videos promoting consumer products and services have shorter timespan than the average time length for online video ad length. Only videos for public service, automotive and entertainment last for longer than the avarage 22.4 second mark (at 45.8, 27.2 and 27.8 seconds, respectively). Below that mark, while the average length for ads of clothing is the shortest (14.6 seconds), that for ads of other retail is the longest (21.0 seconds).
Another remarkable pattern observed is that most video advertisements could only hold the viewer’s attention for less their time length. In average, viewers also only spend 10.7 seconds to watch a video of average 22.4 second in time length. The only exception to this trend are the videos for automotive (14.7 seconds out of 27.2 seconds), financial services (16.3 seconds out of 20.5 seconds), travel (13.0 seconds out of 18.0 seconds) and home furnishings (10.0 seconds out of 17.3 seconds).
