The above table gives information on forested lands in millions of hectares that are found in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America in the years 1990, 2000 and 2005.
To begin with, Europe had the largest forested land in all those three years with 2005 being at the highest number of 1,001 followed by 998 in 2000 and 989 in 1999. South America had slight lower number than Europe with 946, 904 and 882 in 1990, 2000 and 2005 respectively.
On the other hand, Africa and North America roughly had the same numbers ranging from around 700 in all three years. The two areas with the least number of forested lands were Asia and Oceania. First, Asia is shown to be second last in the chart with forest area of almost up to 600 in the mentioned years while Oceania had almost 200 forest area in the years 1999, 2000 and 2005.
Overall, it is apparent that Europe and South America have the most forested land whereas Asia and Oceania show to have the least land area of forest.
