The given tabulated section illustrates about the distribution of forested lands among six different parts of the world in the years 1990, 2000, and 2005. The unit for measurement is given to be in hectares.
The table overall illustrates that the part of Europe has the maximum share whereas the Oceania has the least of the forest lands. Forest lands' area measure in the part of Europe, which was in it's nadir in the year 1990 with 989 million hectares, increased gradually to 1001 million hectares in the year 2005.
The amount forested lands in the areas of Africa, South America, and Oceania follows the same trend from 1990 to 2005, facing atrophy in the 25 years given. But, South America, and Africa found to have almost 60 million hectares of forest lands less when compared the amount of their forest lands in the year 1990 to the year 2005 whereas, Oceania lost only 2 Million hectares of forest land from the year 1990 to 2005.
North America, Oceania maintained their Forest land amount constant from the year 1990 to 2005. They had 708, 199 Millions of forest lands respectively in the year 1990 which were although decreased by less than or equal to 3 million hectares of forests lands, they may be considered as insignificant when compared to the loss of forest lands in rest of the areas.
But, Asian, North American forest lands' area measure seem to be peculiar. It's number which was 576 million hectares in the year 1990, got decreased to 570 in the year 2000. However, the number got increased and reached it's peak of 584 million in the year 2005.
