The table chart compares percentages of consumer expenditure on many kinds of different things in five nations: Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002.

Overall, it is clear to see that the demand for consuming food, drinks, and tobacco by residents was the highest in five countries. On the other hand, the figure for leisure and education was the lowest of all. Turkey, in particular, has taken the lead in combining leisure and education with food, beverages, and tobacco.

Firstly, all the proportions of food, drinks, and tobacco that were consumed in five nations reached at least 15%. Turkey, in particular, led the way with 32.14 percent, followed by Ireland with 28.9 percent. In addition, Turkey continuously got the highest level in the rate of spending on leisure and education, at 4.35%; meanwhile, the percentage of consumer expenditure for clothing and footwear in Italy was significantly higher than other regions, at 9%.

In terms of the remaining items, Sweden had the lowest proportion of citizen expenditures for food, drinks, and tobacco, at only 15.77% and 5.40%, respectively. Furthermore, the expenditure on leisure and education by Spain residents was only 1,98%, while the rate for other categories was slightly higher.
