These tables illustrates how many assignments were done to interpret and translate into four different languages by the company situated in New South Wales from 1998 to 2000.
Overall, although a total number of interpreting jobs accomplished was far more than that of translation assignments, the figure for the latter had an upward trend over the given period.
As for interpreting tasks, there was a total of nearly 21,000 jobs were done. In 1998, the figures for Vietnamese, Arabic and Spanish commenced at 3788, 2689 and 979, respectively; however, these figures continued to fall, declining by around 300-400 each. On the other hand, despite its number was the least, German began at 34 in 1998 which then increased to 55 in the final year.
However, there is a total of only 7933 jobs were done regarding translation. This was done primarily for Arabic which had risen from 986 to 1394 by 2000, followed by Spanish which had increased from 590 to 893 by the same year. Finally, there were slight increases with a fluctuation in the number of translation assignments for German and Vietnamese.
