Task 1 The table below shows the percentage of the population by age groups in one town who rode bicycles in 2011

The table compares proportion of inhabitants of a particular town at different age category who rode ‎bicycle in 2011.‎
Overall, women rode bicycle more than men in all five groups and there was decrease number of ‎citizens who used their bicycle as the age increased with exception of oldest group (60+) ,which ‎bucked this trend.‎
Looking through the youngest group, we find that this group has the highest number of cyclist at 51.3% ‎for female and 50.3% for men. Although second age group has lower number of citizens who used ‎bicycle at 42.2% women and 24.6% men, they still rode bicycle much more than other groups. As ‎mentioned earlier, significant gulf between men and women was illustrated in second group.‎
However, as the population grew older the percentage of cycling dropped at, women still rode more ‎than men. While this decreasing trend continued, the oldest group (60+) experienced slight increase ‎of cyclist at 18.5% for women and 13.2% for men. Age group 40-59 had the lowest proportion at 12.3% ‎and 8.0% for women and men respectively. ‎
