Overall, the huge amount of expenses over the period was for the teachers’ salaries while the least was for insurance coverage.
Majority of the education institution’s annual expenses went on teachers’ salaries. It increased by 10% from 40% in the year 1981 to 50% in the year 1991. However, it dropped to 45% by the end of 2001. Other workers’ salaries had an annual declined from 28% in the year 1981, 22% in the year 1991 and finished at 15% by the year 2001.
In addition, acquisition of furniture and fixture was in its peak at 23% by the year 2001 from just 5% in the year 1991. Purchases of resources such as books had an upward trend for two decades at 20% then it went down to 9% in the year 2001. Insurance expenses, on the other hand, remained at a minimal cost for all the years. It had an insignificant inclined from 2% in the year 1981 to 8% by the end of 2001.
