The maps below depict the layout of road access to a hospital, in two different years. Some noticeable changes are applied in 2010 compared to 2007.
Although the main venue stayed unchanged, some improvements are made to the outside of City hospital, mainly in terms of car parks and bus stops.
In 2007, two rows of bus stops existed on two sides of the entrance Hospital road, while there were three of them on each side, which were totally substituted with a single area as a bus station on the left side of the mentioned road. Two roundabouts are also constructed to the previous junctions, at the two ends of that road, one at the building’s gate and the other at the intersection of the road and the City road. Whereas, buses can enter and leave the station through joints at these two squares.
Another major renovation in the plan is the division of the car park into two separate grounds. Whilst public used to park their cars at the same parking place, a new space is now allocated for their vehicles on the right-wing of the hospital with a particular entrance, and the former car park that is located on the right side of the Hospital road, on the opposite side to the bus station, now belongs to the staff only. Despite these refurbishments, the main venue and the Ring road around it have remained unchanged during this period.
