The bar graph compares the telephone usages in UK by three difference methods between 1995 and 2002.
There was a fluctuating trend in Local - fixed line usage from 1995 to 2002, starting from 70 billion minutes, finishing at around 72 billion minutes. Furthermore, it reached the peak of 90 billion minutes in 1999. After that, the popularity dropped gradually from 2000 to 2002.
In contrast, both usages of National and international – fixed line and those of Mobile rose sharply over 7 year-period. Looking at National and international calls, there was a gradual increase from about 40 billion minutes in 1995 to under 60 billion minutes in 2002, almost standing at the most popular method in UK in 2002. While, Mobile starting at low level, it showed a dramatic rise from low level (approximately 3 billion minutes) to over 40 billion minutes in 2002.
To sum up, after 1999, Local – fixed line decreased its popularity, while National and international – fixed line increased significantly.
