Expenditure on fast foods by income groups
Consumption of fast foods 1970 -1990
The two charts depict the expenditure on fast food weekly in Britain and the rate of each type of fast food eating. From the first bar chart, it is obvious that most money spending belongs to high income group. In the second one, the graph clearly shows that hamburgers is the strongly increasing its popular in people.
Out of three groups, high income is the group with the highest paying per week, approximately 80 pence each person, mostly for hamburgers. While average group rank in second with around 50 pence, the low income group is the last one with the data of 40 pence per person and they seem to love fish and chips more.
It can be seen that fish and chips consumption decreased markedly in 1975 to 1985, then grew slightly from 1985 to 1990. With hamburgers and pizza, they both risen from 1970 to 1990. While hamburgers had remarkable grow, pizza just increased gradually.
